Subject: Amazing work

In my late teens and early twenties, I cut my teeth spending hours and hours writing 6502, and playing Aviator/REVS/Elite. I ended up as a professional programmer. Now I've 'retired', and while away the hours writing little games and utilities for fun. I was musing with the idea of rewriting Aviator using a modern language and game engine, when I stumbled upon your work.

I'm absolutely staggered.

The time and knowledge and care and expertise it's taken to do this is incredible. I'm so grateful for your efforts, and so grateful that it's in the public domain. It's an inspiration.

Thank you Gilbert! I'm delighted that you like my code analyses. I've enjoyed doing them so much that they've become a labour of love, and I'm glad it shows!

Watch this space for more documentation coming soon, including an analysis of the NES version of Elite. At 128K of game binary it's a really big undertaking, but I'm getting there! It's certainly an interesting version to pull apart... and hopefully the deep dives will be worth a read.

Anyway, thanks again for the kind words, and for taking the time to post. I really appreciate it!

Best wishes,
