I am wondering if anyone could help me find any blogs or other information on anyone who has done a lejog via the Cape Wrath Trail and then along the north coast of Scotland to John O' Groats.

I have found a few accounts of people who have done part of the Cape Wrath Trail and then headed inland to John O' Groats via the Flow Country.

The closest thing I have found so far is David Holmes 2006 walk from Lands End to Cape Wrath who intended to continue on to JOG but cut it short at Cape Wrath instead.

If anyone knows of any walkers who have done the Cape Wrath to John O' Groats coastal walk I would be very grateful.

Hi Joe.

Does this one fit the bill? It looks like it from the map:

You could also do worse than check out people who have walked the coast of Britain, as they will have effectively done that section. Alex Ellis-Roswell is currently doing just that and he's already covered Scotland:

Hope these are useful.

Best wishes,

Hi Mark

I haven’t visited your site for a long time. I walked Lejog in 2015 - you may not remember, but I messaged you some time after I had set off.

Anyway, the message to you in your guestbook from Joe caught my eye. I did all but the last couple of days of the Cape Wrath Trail before cutting across to Tongue and then across the top of Scotland via Dunnet Head. Unfortunately, I just didn’t have enough time to go all the way to Cape Wrath and then across the top.

I am not sure how this works, but I assume that Joe won’t Joe see my message if I post it, unless he should make another visit.

I thought that I would let you know so that you can put him in contact with me should he ever get back in touch with you.

Best wishes

Richard

Hi Richard.

"I assume that Joe won’t Joe see my message if I post it, unless he should make another visit."

That's correct. Joe, if you see this and want to get in touch with Richard, drop me a private message with your email address and I can put you in touch.

Best wishes,

Mark

Hi Joe,
The following link is to an archive file (link is in Mark Moxon’s website). Charlie Lee included Cape Wrath and North Coast in her walk: https://web.archive.org/web/20141216191330/http://8pointsbritain.com/

I hope this helps.

Keith
