- You can now use the tubewalk planner to design walks to (or from) your nearest stations
- For those of you with iOS 3, or iOS 4 on iPhone 3G: if you're looking at a walk and you close Tubewalker, then the next time you open it, that walk will still be shown (iOS 4 users on 3GS and iPhone 4 have been able to do this since version 1.5)
- Minor aesthetic tweaks
- Fully tested on iOS 4.2 (as well as iOS 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 4.0 and 4.1)
1.7 ()
- You can now view multi-station tubewalks in one map, rather than having one map for each leg, so if you use the Recommended Tubewalks menu or the Tubewalk Planner, you'll find life a lot easier; thanks to Nathan Hinchliffe for suggesting this feature - it's worked out really well
- I've finally managed to do the tubewalks around Wood Lane, which opened after I'd finished walking the Tube in 2008, so Tubewalker covers the entire Tube network once again
- To make Tubewalker feel more responsive when viewing more complicated walks, there's a loading message for the Info and Map tabs
- You can now toggle placemarks in the Map tab, which is particularly useful on long walks with lots to see
- When viewing large images in the Photos tab, there's now an activity indicator so you know the image is being loaded, as well as a new menu that shows you the map location where that photo was taken
- The Places tab has an index bar when there are lots of places of interest, which makes it much easier to scroll through them all
- All distances are now shown in kilometres as well as miles
- Various minor bug fixes and improved performance
1.6 ()
- Each tubewalk now has a Photos tab that shows photographs from that walk, so you can check out what a tubewalk looks like before heading out (or, if you prefer tubewalking from your sofa, you can see what the fuss is all about without leaving the house); Zone 1 – which is free to all users – comes with over 2150 photos, while those who have unlocked Zones 2 to 9 can enjoy over 9700 photos from across the entire Tube network
- Tubewalker now works on all iOS 3 and 4 devices, including iPad
- Minor content tweaks
1.5.1 ()
- Fixed a bug with iOS 3 that crashed Tubewalker on start-up; Tubewalker should now work on all iOS 3.0, 3.1 and 4.x devices – iPad support will follow in the next version
1.5 ()
- Now supports Fast App Switching in iOS 4 (on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and third-generation iPod Touch only)
- Also in iOS 4, Tubewalker's maps now use Apple's polyline overlay system, which is a fancy way of saying that the route doesn't disappear when you zoom or pan the map
1.4 ()
- New high-resolution artwork makes the most of the iPhone 4's Retina display
- The Tubewalker application icon has had a facelift
- Tubewalker has been fully tested on iOS 4 (though note that Tubewalker doesn't yet support multitasking – that's coming in a future release)
- Minor content tweaks
1.3 ()
- With the new tubewalk planner you can string lots of little tubewalks together into an all-day excursion; simply choose the station where you want to start or end your walk, optionally choose a distance, and the planner will show you all the tubewalks that fit the bill, complete with maps, descriptions and places of interest
- All tubewalks now have at least one place of interest
- The 'all stations' menu is now searchable
- The layout of the main menu has been tweaked to incorporate the planner
