Subject: Just hello Hello young fellow. Nice to see the site looking so ordered and comprehensive. Long time since that fateful morning in Timbuktu when I went south and you went north. I haven't managed to get OS since the great West African debacle of late 2002 - I fear I am scarred for life, although I may head to Europe later in the year. Will check in again. Take care, Chief! |

Great to hear from you, if only to find out that you haven't been driven mad by recurring dreams of train rides through the Mauritanian desert... 😉 Come to think of it, the only overseas travel I've managed since West Africa was a skiing trip to Canada last year, which is not exactly hardcore travel. Peta and I are off to Cuba in March, though, which should be more entertaining, especially considering I know practically no Spanish. I'm learning though; hell, it can't be as hard going as Mali!
